Capital Planning
Facilities Planning supports Northwestern’s long-range capital planning working closely with the Office of Budget and Planning and Financial Operations on the development of the 7-Year Capital Facilities Plan.
Key Capital Planning services:
- Informing Northwestern’s long-term needs for capital investments
- Alignment of plans with Northwestern’s long-term physical development
- Support of campus leadership in the alignment of capital investments with strategic priorities
- Development of need, scope, budget, schedule, and funding approach for capital projects
- Collaboration with stakeholders to evaluate a capital project’s impact on operating and maintenance costs
