Campus Accessibility, Wellness and Inclusivity

Northwestern Facilities is committed to creating a welcoming and accessible environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. We strive to accommodate all members of our community.

Physical Accessibility

The university complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act and looks for opportunities to go beyond what is required and adopt best practices that expand access for all.

Facilities incorporates accessible features into all construction and renovation projects and works with AccessibleNU and Human Resources to make additional accommodations as needed. Our approach to accessibility extends beyond our buildings to include our entire campus. We address parking areas and consider how people will navigate the campus. During construction projects, we ensure that accessible paths remain available, allowing for continued access to facilities.

Find physical accessibility resources on Northwestern's Accessibility website, including accessible parking and transportation information and how to report an accessibility issue.

Campus Wellness and Inclusion

By providing facilities such as all-gender bathrooms and lactation rooms, Northwestern strives to provide a safe and welcoming space for its community.
