Find Your Course Materials
For many classes, all required materials may be available on Canvas. Check your course Canvas page to ensure you understand what materials are required.
Northwestern recommends ordering course materials as early as possible before the academic term starts. When you place an order from any vendor, be sure to check the delivery dates to ensure the shipping and delivery timelines meet your schedule for the start of the term. In many cases, course materials will also be available in a digital format, which can help avoid potential shipping delays. Northwestern encourages the use of digital materials whenever possible.
Course Materials Available Through the Northwestern Libraries
Email library@northwestern.edu with any questions about accessing your assigned course materials through the library.
- Textbooks: Check NUsearch to see if your textbook is available in digital format at the Libraries. If not, the Libraries may be able to purchase an e-book version. Email library@northwestern.edu if you have any questions.
- Course reserves: Physical (book) course reserves may or may not be available for any quarter. Email library@northwestern.edu with any questions. Access digital resources your instructors have made available as eReserves on Canvas, including journal articles, book chapters, and audio and video streaming. Click “Course Reserves” in the course's navigation bar for which they were requested.
Ordering Textbooks
Choose your bookstore below, and select the “Textbooks” tab on top of the main menu bar. The “Find Course Materials” page will appear. Please follow the instructions to place your order.
