Darkroom Memberships Available
Darkroom per visit (2-4 hours) Fee: $25 for NU Students, $35 for Non-NU community members
Darkroom requests are closed for the summer. Requests are now open for Fall 2024 beginning June 24, 2024 and on.
Purchasing a Daily Membership
- Email articastudios@u.northwestern.edu to request a Daily Membership
- You will receive an email with information for an interview and to take the exam
- You must pass the exam and interview on basic knowledge of black and white film and print processing. ARTica Darkroom policies will also be reviewed.
- If approved, you must email ARTica with a specific date and time you plan to use the Darkroom
- You will receive an email approving your request.
- You will pay the fee before using the Darkroom.
- The attendant on duty will unlock the space for your use.

- Chemicals for film and paper processing
- Equipment for film development
- Equipment for paper development
