Aly, originally from Portage, MI, holds a B.A. in Spanish and Secondary Education from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI, as well as an M.A. in Higher Education from Elon University in Elon, NC. Before joining Northwestern, Aly served as a Graduate Apprentice for Residence Life at Elon University, focusing on staff development, holistic student support, and the design and implementation of an educational residential curriculum. Additionally, she completed two semesters of internships, one with the Global Education Center at Elon University and another with Residence Life at Marymount Manhattan College in New York, NY.
Outside of work, Aly embraces life's simple pleasures in true Taurus spirit. She enjoys cooking with her partner, trying out new coffee shops, going to musicals, enjoying Thai food at the beach, exploring the city of Chicago, and relaxing at home with her beloved cat, Tokyo.
