University statement on the status of the Committee

Northwestern University regrets that the President’s Advisory Committee on Preventing Antisemitism and Hate halted its work prematurely. Regardless of this outcome, Northwestern continues to move forward with the ongoing work of combatting antisemitism, anti-Muslim hate and all forms of discrimination and harassment.

University leaders, including President Michael Schill, continue to engage with former members of the Committee, whose personal voices, work undertaken in support of the Committee and lessons learned from their Committee service can help shape the vital work ahead.

Northwestern appreciates the contributions of all members of the Committee for their efforts to make the University a more welcoming and understanding place.
