Northwestern University Sesquicentennial


Old College -- erected in 1855 for under $6,000. Moved to campus in 1871 from original site at corner of Davis and Hinman Avenues. Over time housed classrooms, student boarding rooms, a library, museum, chapel, belfry, the Preparatory Academy, and the School of Education. After suffering through 2 fires was demolished in 1973.
