Yumi (Any Pronouns) is beyond excited to be serving as the Director of Staff Training on the 2025 Wildcat Welcome Board of Directors! Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Yumi is a third-year studying Journalism, Theatre and Marketing. Yumi knew that they wanted to be a part of the Wildcat Welcome community as soon as she learned what a Peer Adviser was – and the rest is history. Now, she hopes to use her passion for mentorship and diversity to foster community within both the Class of 2028 and the Wildcat Welcome program as a whole. When she has blank space in her G-Cal, Yumi can be found skateboarding around campus, watching movies at the AMC 12 to add to their Letterboxd, or sitting criss-cross applesauce with a london fog at Colectivo.
