Former Technical Support Specialist
Jabari Thomas served as a Technical Support Specialist on the Endpoint Device Management and Support group in NUIT Technology Support Services department. He lives on the South Side of Chicago and has been part of the Northwestern Wildcat Community since 2017 where he began his journey as an intern through the Chicago Year Up program in NUIT’s Information Security department.
The Year Up program is a one-year intensive workforce development program that gives at-risk and underserved youth the opportunity to be trained and exposed to corporate America, and potentially get an opportunity for employment with Fortune 500 companies, colleges, universities and hospitals.
Jabari was fortunate to find a home here at Northwestern after developing relationships with staff, where he is building his professional brand, and establishing a network at Northwestern. Jabari has a thirst for knowledge and learning, to this end he took the opportunity to enroll in the School of Professional Studies here at Northwestern where he is currently pursuing his undergraduate degree in Information Systems. He began his undergraduate studies at SPS while interning at NUIT’s Cyber-Infrastructure departments where he expanded his network and acquired new skills.
