Omar Christopher Negron

Director of Access

Omar is a System Administrator at Northwestern University Information Technology. He is a graduate of ITT Tech with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.

He has over a decade of experience as an IT Specialist working with Servers, JAMF, Active Directory and CrashPlan backup server.

Omar is an advocate for equality and social justice, most recently Omar was a part of the Change Makers Review Committee. Omar is one of the lead members for BPN Critical Dialogue with BPN male members at NU.

Omar has mentored junior colleagues in NUIT over the ten years he has been with Northwestern. When not at work, Omar enjoys playing basketball, traveling and playing video games. 
Omar’s role on BPN will be to collaborate with his fellow committee members to plan and execute programming for Black Professional staff at Northwestern, and more specifically, as Director of Access, he will assist with the web site setup and content, among other things.
