Maureen's impactful journey at Northwestern University Information Technology began in 1992, where her consistent dedication as a pivotal team member has been evident. Currently holding the role of Director for Application Development and Operations within Northwestern IT Administrative Systems, she spearheads crucial software development teams vital to the university's operations. Maureen oversees projects pivotal to student services, such as CAESAR (Student), myHR, and NUfinancial, ensuring the delivery of top-tier services and the facilitation of strategic initiatives that significantly enrich the university experience for students, faculty, and staff.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Maureen actively champions Northwestern's commitment to diversity and inclusion. Serving as the Director of Networking for Northwestern's Black Professionals Network committee, she coordinates the Journey Narrative Series, special events, newsletter editing, and book club facilitation, while fostering a supportive community atmosphere. Additionally, as a founding member of the Northwestern IT Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee, she exemplifies her dedication to fostering an inclusive environment within the university. Maureen's influence extends beyond campus as she holds a vital role on the University Diversity Council and engages in various social justice volunteer activities, embodying her holistic leadership approach that seamlessly integrates technical excellence with social responsibility.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, and later residing in London, England, where primary and secondary schooling was completed, followed by college. Relocated to the United States in January 1990 for employment, where an encounter with Ronnie Burrell led to a marriage spanning 32 years.
